Robert is a professional drummer who has played drums for 14 years. He initially began his percussion studies with his father at the age of 10, near Seattle, Washington. From this age forward, Robert performed in a variety of ensembles, playing drumset in jazz band, church praise band, and a handful of rock bands through junior high and high school. He too drum lessons throughout his teen years, and also played percusssion in wind ensemble, percussion ensemble and held the position of lead snare in marching band. It was at the age that Robert also discovered his talent for songwriting, electronic composition, and audio engineering. |

In 2004, Robert left the greater Seattle area to attend Azusa Pacific University in Southern California to study music (and to escape the rain). Here, Robert studied music theory, ear training, piano, music history, arranging, conducting, and an assortment of other music-related subjects. APU prompted Robert to hone his passion for drums via technical excellence, receiving instruction from LA drummers Mike Packer, Alan Waddington, and Mark Converse. Robert participated in in Jazz Band, Oratirio Choir, chapel band, Jazz Combo, and various other school-related groups. Robert also extended his musicianship outside of the university, playing drums for two churches, rock bands, recording projects, and small jazz ensembles. He was also an intern at Eldorado recording studios in summer 2007, where he received an assistant audio engineering credit on Warner Brother's latest Avenged Sevenfold album.
Robert graduated Magna Cum Laude from APU in May 2008, with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music, emphasis; Audio Engineering. Robert began teaching drums lessons at KYR music in July 2008, and has found it to be a profoundly rewarding expierence. Robert now co-operates a recording studio, has played drums on over 20 recording projects or albums, palys regularly in six rock bands, frequently composes music, and has recently finished is second solo album. He remains solely fixed on his creative endevors with music, and wants nothing more than to share his passion with all who encounter him.
